ICYMI - Trump will meet with Putin next week, then a three-way meet with Zelensky

• Trump's intention is to bring Russia's war on Ukraine to an end.

The news was a little while ago, good news if we get an end to Russia's war on Ukraine:

• Trump tells European leaders he will meet with Putin/Zelenskiy as soon as next week

While Trump didn't tweet his meeting intentions, The White House sent out the news with widespread media reporting. Trump did have something to say though:

Good news for markets if true. Likely outcomes:

• supportive for risk assets
• energy prices may well be pressured, especially oil and natural gas, on expectations of restored Russian supply to Europe and calmer geopolitical tensions, along with a diminution of inflationary pressures
• European equities and the euro (and other European FX) should see support on improved economic sentiment and lower energy costs

That'd be the narrative anyway, much will depend on the terms of the peace deal, potential sanctions relief, and whether lasting stability appears credible.
