South Korea Industrial Output Adds 0.3% In July

Industrial production in South Korea was up a seasonally adjusted 0.3 percent on month in July, Statistics Korea said on Friday.

That missed expectations for an increase of 0.4 percent following the downwardly revised 1.5 percent gain in June (originally 1.6 percent).

On a yearly basis, production jumped 5.0 percent - topping forecasts for an increase of 3.5 percent and up from 1.6 percent in the previous month.

Retail sales jumped 2.5 percent on month, beating forecasts for 1.5 percent and up from 0.5 percent a month earlier.
